Vodafone has announced of its plan to launch social networking and messaging services over SMS and USSD platform to cater the growing needs of its customers in India. 
Vodafone plans to bring in the recently developed Myriad Updates, a first of its kind text based mobile social networking service which can be accessed even using basic model phones. This gives an unique advantage to users to have the access to various social networking sites like Facebook and twitter apps without any data plan.Vodafone is all set to rollout a complete portfolio of Myriad’s mobile messaging services, which includes SMS, instant messaging and mobile email services.
