TRAI (Telecom regulatory Authority of India which was brought into existence by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997 and has one of its main objective to provide a fair and transparent policy environment which will promote a level playing field and will facilitate fair competition today published its comparative performance of mobile service providers in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Goa telecom circles the quarter ending sep’10

TRAI Report Card

The report Card on GSM & CDMA mobile service operators looks into the following factors. The quality of service (QoS), Parameters of Accessibility, Call Drops, Voice Quality, Billing Complaints.

According to the report Vodafone and MTNL Mumbai performing best as far as the availability of network and down time of BTS /Mobile tower is concerned in the Mumbai region. For the Accessibility of percentage of calls made by the subscriber and success in the network loop mobile has been reported the best. In the category of percentage of calls with good voice quality Videocon, Uninor, MTS India, Tata Indicom have been rated the best.
