Tata Docomo, the innovative Indian telecom firm has launched a new product called as Tata Docomo Route Finder.

Tata Docomo Route Finder is a service based on SMS driven location. It works on all the handsets as it is totally based on SMS and does not involve data/internet.
The Route Finder is meat to solve the issues of exact directions to locations and also offers a robust database with a number of points of interest that include restaurants, shops, hotels and places of worship.
The service is unique because it’s open to all. It requires no smartphone or 3G connection. All 2G and 3G customers can access the service. Another speciality of it is the turn by turn direction given on the phone anywhere and anytime via SMSs.
Smartphone users can also get the directions on a map. The task of the Tata Docomo Route Finder is to figure out the location of the destination through triangulation and then send the best possible route via SMS or map to the user.
Not only this! Tata Docomo has also clubbed in a ‘Buy One Get One Free’ offer with the service. On a request of a direction for the first time, the next request will be complementary. You are charged only after your requested direction is delivered to you. The charges are Rs. 5 per direction.
