Sony Ericsson’s Xperia PLAY
Sony Ericsson today announced the launch of Xperia Play, which is the world’s First PlayStation Certified Smartphone. The smartphone will now be available in the stores in UK, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, Russia, Denmark, HongKong, Sweden and Taiwan. Over the next two weeks it will also be available in six other markets.
The Xperia Play smartphone will enter the market with over 60 games from the industry’s biggest content providers that include Sony Computer Entertainment, Electronic Atrs, Gameloft and Glu Mobile.
In addition to this, the latest installment of one of the leading and top-selling racing games, Asphalt 6 will also be available for FREE on Xperia PLAY.
The games available for download at launch is a combo of the original PlayStation titles, the famous 3D titles that take full advantage of the graphical capabilities and controls of Xperia PLAY and also popular casual games that are optimized for the unique game pad.

Sony Ericsson has developed partnerships with more than 20 developers from big publishers to independents, from engaging Android developers to Middleware providers, Havok and Unity, in order to ensure a continuous flow of new titles for Xperia PLAY.
