Reliance – Infotel Broadband Ltd the country’s Broad Band spectrum winner will be offering advanced offer fourth generation (4G) wireless networking services in the fields of safety and security.
Reliance Security Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) and Siemens Ltd. has entered into a memorandum of understanding for developing security solutions. These solutions are basically aimed at providing Homeland Security Solutions for Safe, Secure and Smart Cities and Highways in India
The combined venture will roll out an Long Term Evolution (LTE) based 4G network (BWA) for an assured high Quality of Service (QoS).The LTE based solutions will also ensure a smooth functioning of video and security applications.
Reliance plans to introduce its Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) in 700 cities in the initial phase of its operations. Reliance BWA will provide users with data speeds ranging from 50 Mbps to 100 Mbps. Presently RIL is finalizing vendors who would supply broadband equipment based on the so- long term evolution (LTE) technology as it plans to launch its service by end of 2011.
