Nokia today launched three new affordable mobile phones – Nokia C2-02, Nokia C2-03 and Nokia C2-06.
Nokia Mobile Phones business unit Head, Mary Mc Dowell said, “These phones all offer a web, maps and messaging experience second to none in the market. And with the choice of a touch screen or a keypad, we really have made everything available and easy to use in an affordable phone that comes in both Dual or single SIM options.”
Nokia C2-03 is Nokia’s third dual SIM phone. It enables its customers to personalize up to 5 SIM cards with an easy Swap option to change SIM cards within seconds without turning the phone off.
Nokia C2-02 is a single SIM phone with similar set of features. It has push messaging options and a wide range of Im providers.
Nokia C2-06 comes in a fresh range of colors along with a tidy and smooth finish.
All the phones ship with Nokia Maps for Series 40 in which the local maps ad places of interest are already installed in the phone enabling users to view maps even in the offline mode thus saving the downloading cost.
All the phones provide an excellent internet browsing experience via data compression technology of Nokia Browser that lowers the cost of surfing and speeds up the page downloads. This is beneficial for both the customers and the operators.
Mc Dowell continued, “We want the web to be easy to access, fast and affordable for all. The technology behind the Nokia Browser means that consumers, especially those new to the mobile internet, can get the information they need quickly, as the Nokia Browser serves up relevant local content – making the whole experience more personal
and enjoyable.”
The phones also include media player, stereo FM radio and extendable memory up to 32 GB.
The phones are expected to be in the market in the third quarter of the year. The expected price of Nokia C2-02 and Nokia C2-03 is EUR 75 (USD 105), for Nokia C2-06 EUR 80 (USD 112).
