Nokia India has joined hands with US based not for profit organization, Arogya World, which focuses on creating awareness on Diabetes all over the world. Nokia and Arogya world together will launch a Mobile health initiative, aimed at prevention of diabetes in India.
Nokia consumers who is having Nokia Life Tools service on their phones will be catered with information related to diabetes and precautionary measures, totally free of cost for a period of 6 months .As part of this initiative Arogya World will deliver text message alerts on diabetes, to Nokia customers twice a week, in 12 different languages. The customers has the privilege to continue with the option to receive diabetes awareness and prevention messages at a nominal fee after the initial period of six Months.
At present Nokia Healthcare services delivers precautionary information on the following areas:
Mother and child: Pregnancy advice and Childcare advice.
Health and fitness: Men’s health and Women’s health.
Health topics: Respiratory health, Healthy heart and Diabetes.
