MTS, the CDMA Mobile services brand of Sistema Shyam Tele Services Limited SSTL), has announced the launch of BlackBerry Smartphone and Services in India within a few days.
MTS Set To Launch BlackBerry Smartphones and Services
In an attempt to stick to its data centric voice enabled strategy in order to provide its customers with innovative solutions to its customers, MTS has decided to launch BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone with free talktime, free unlimited internet plan and 100 free SMS per day. This will be an inaugural offer for the customers that will purchase the phone from the operator.
The MTS BlackBerry service will initially be launched in 7 cities – Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune (Maharashtra).
MTS will launch BlackBerry Internet Services, BlackBerry Enterprise Services and BlackBerry Enterprise Services Plus. The exact date of launch and the tariff plans are still not known.
It is known that MTS may allot a different Customer Care number 955 from its network for BlackBerry Services.
