The numbers of unhappy Mobile Service users across India are over 85.41 lakh by the end of April, 2011.
The use of Mobile Number Portability (MNP) service is again highest in Gujarat, Karnataka, Haryana and Rajasthan telecom circles.
By the end of April, 2011 around 85.41 lakh users have submitted their requests to different service providers for porting their Mobile Number as per the data accounted by the Mobile Service Providers (GSM and CDMA). Out of this 5.32 lakh users belong to Haryana where Mobile Number Portability was enforced from 25th November, 2011.
In the first zone of MNP (Northern and Western India), Gujarat telecom circle has received the highest number of requests that is 8.34 lakh and is followed by Rajasthan (7.11 lakh).
In the second zone of MNP (Southern and Eastern India), Karnataka has received the maximum number of requests that is 6.63 lakh followed by Tamil Nadu (6.41 lac).
