BSNL Unveils SMS Packs in Compliance With Trai Norms

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) The countries pioneer telecom provider and Pan India 3G Mobile Service operator has unveiled an optimal plan to comply with the TRAI’s Regulations to sets a cap of 100 SMSs per day per users.BSNL has pulled out the SMS packs of Rs. 13, Rs. 23, Rs. 33, Rs. 53 from the market and substituted it with new SMS packs at Rs. 32, Rs. 21, Rs. 14 and Rs. 53 with revised validity and 100 SMS per day cap to comply with TRAI’s Regulation. BSNL has permitted its existing users to enjoy the benefits offered in its earlier SMS Packs till the expiry of the current SMS STVs activated up to 23.59 hrs of 26th September 2011. The 32 Rupees pack include options to send1000 Local & 500 Local/National SMS FREE and is valid for 15 Days. The other schemes includes the SMS pack where Subscriber can send 1000 Local SMS FREE (100 SMS per Day) at Rs. 21 valid for 15 days and SMS Pack of Rs. 14 offers all SMS at 5p/SMS valid for 30 days while with SMS Pack of Rs. 53 subscriber will get the benefits of 2000 Local & 1000 Local/National SMS valid for 30 days from the date of activation. All these plans comply with the cap of 100/day and will be available from 27th September 2011.
the New SMS packs are available to all subscribers in Both in their Home circles and also while on roaming within circles  across India. These new SMS will not be available on “Blackout days”. On these days normal SMS charges as per plan will be applicable.
