Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), India’s National telecom backbone and mobile service provider today launched a special prepaid pack with the name of ‘Yatra SIM’ for the Amarnath Yatra pilgrims to make it easy for them to communicate during the pilgrimage.
BSNL Amarnath Yatra SIM Prepaid Pack
The Yatra SIM costs Rs. 200 (SIM+ FRC+ Top-Up) with a talktime of Rs. 160 and the Pay Per Second tariff that is 1 paisa per second for all Local/ STD calls to any network in the country.
Due to special security terms and conditions in Jammu & Kashmir the validity of the pack will be of 15 days only.
The BSNL Yatra SIM is available at all the BSNL counters in the nearby location and can be obtained after providing the Yatra Slip, address proof and an photo identity proof. The SIM will be activated within 24 hours.
Over 3 lakh pilgrims visit Amarnath Yatra per year in Jammu & Kashmir for which the pilgrims cover the height of 14,500 feet. BSNL is the sole Service provider that has made GSM coverage available in the complete Yatra route.
