Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) the Public sector telecom mammoth has launched another creative initiative today, The BSNL Mobile Apps Store. The Apps store allows Both its 2G and 3G customers across pan India to convert their basics phone into a Smartphone and access to over 4500 Apps across 25 categories for their business, games, books, social networking and other needs.
The customers need not have to make on the spot payment, but the charges will be added to their mobile bill or deducted from the available talk-time. The BSNL also allows free download of certain applications, and some at a nominal rates starting from Rs. 8.
BSNL Apps Store will offer both local and regional Apps and religion and devotional Apps such as Ayyappa the God to Bhakti ki Shakti for customers across the length and breadth of the country. The ‘Maa Durga to Qibla, application allows customers to calculate the direction from whichever place they are on the globe to the holy city of Mecca the free and paid applications are available for download through 550+ devices categorized under 25 customer categories.
