AIRCEL, India’s fast growing Pan India telecom operator has announced to offer free mobile browsing to its mobile service users on the new 0.facebook.com site.
Currently, the service is free for its users in 13 telecom circles which are Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Goa, Mumbai, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, UP East and West and Madhya Pradesh.
This latest move by AIRCEL of sponsoring 0.facebook.com is allowing its customers to stay in touch with their family and friends through facebook from any web browser without subjecting them to any data charges.
Facebook’s 0.facebook.com site is a faster and lighter version of the mobile site m.facebook.com and is optimized for speed. The website does not have photos or graphics and the pages of 0.facebook.com have been designed for performance on AIRCEL network.
Now watching photos posted on Facebook is only a click away from 0.facebook.com. A click on the link to the photo will prompt that you are leaving 0.facebook.com and the photo can be viewed. Standard data charges will be applicable once the user leaves 0.facebook.com to view a photo.
