Vodafone customers in Kolkata and the rest of Bengal that travel to Assam and North East can now avail the Prepaid Roaming Facility.
The National Roaming facility for Assam and North East circle was earlier available only for Postpaid customers. It has now also been launched for the Prepaid customers. This will solve the problem of the prepaid subscribers to change the SIM while travelling to the North-Eastern part of India.
The facility will be pre-activated. There are no additional charges for the activation of the service. The Standard Roaming Facility will be valid on incoming and outgoing calls.
According to the DoT announcement, Prepaid customers anywhere in India can now use the roaming facility without any restriction even in Assam and North East India, except Jammu and Kashmir.
