A few months back Vodafone had come up with its untrue video calling service. Airtel has decided to follow Vodafone in it.
Now you will have to activate 3G Data Packs to make video calls. Airtel subscribers cannot make video calls without activating any 3G Data Pack.
Airtel had recently increased the rates of its prepaid tariff in Delhi-NRC, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh Chhattisgarh and Kerala circles and now it has made it compulsory for the 3G customers to activate the data pack to make video calls.
The changes have brought up dissatisfaction in many Airtel subscribers towards its 3G services. A number of Airtel subscribers who have activated the 3G services for video calling will now need to spend extra money on the data packs even when itβs not essential for them.
So now Airtel customers must activate zero rental plan in order to make video calls. The point to be noted is that the changes are applicable for the customers who had been enjoying 3G speed on 2G GPRS packs.
Will this step by Airtel restrain its subscribers from making video calls? Do give your opinion via comments.
